Welcome. I'm so glad you found your way here — because the fact that you're reading this tells me something unique about you: you're someone who takes your health seriously. And that matters more than you might think.

I'm Dr. Mira, and this is the first post on the ComfortPlus Health blog. I want to use this space not just to share information, but to start a genuine conversation — one that changes how you think about your body, your mind, and what it truly means to receive care.

We are currently a virtual-only practice — which means you can access expert, integrative care from the comfort of your home, office, or wherever you may be in Colorado.

✈  Travel E-Kit program — A curated emergency medication kit for travelers — so you're prepared wherever life takes you.

One thing people tell us they love most? The lab review.

So many patients have been handed a printout of bloodwork and told 'everything looks normal' — only to still feel exhausted, foggy, or unwell.

At ComfortPlus, we don't just glance at whether your numbers fall inside a reference range. We sit with you, explain what each marker actually means, what it tells us about your body, and what — if anything — we want to do about it.

Do you travel — for work, for adventure, for family? Our Travel E-Kit program is one of the most unique things we offer. We work with you to build a personalized emergency medication kit tailored to your health history, your destination, and the kinds of situations that can arise when you're far from home. Think of it as your medical safety net in a bag — so whether you're crossing time zones or continents, you're not at the mercy of an unfamiliar healthcare system in a vulnerable moment. Ask us about this program at your first visit.

A note on how we work: cash pay, with intention

Currently, cash-only — no insurance billing. 

We are transparent about all costs before every visit or service.

We DO NOT let Insurance companies direct your care- therefore, cash only.

AGAIN: ComfortPlus is currently a cash-pay practice.

We don't bill insurance — and I want to be honest with you about why that's actually a feature, not a limitation.

When a practice runs through insurance, it is constantly negotiating with a third party about what care you 'qualify' for, how much time can be spent with you, and which treatments are covered.

That system quietly shapes your care in ways most patients never see.

Functional medicine labs, extended consultations, integrative approaches — these are often denied, restricted, or simply not reimbursed.

"When no insurance company is in the room, the only voice that matters is yours."

By operating outside that system, we are free to practice medicine the way it was meant to be practiced — spending real time with you, ordering what's actually clinically indicated, and building a care plan around your goals, not a billing code. We believe this model of transparent, direct care is worth it. And we will always be upfront about costs before any visit or service.

We know cash pay isn't accessible for everyone, and we respect that.

As ComfortPlus grows, we will continue to explore how to broaden access.

For now, we are committed to making every dollar you invest in your care count — by giving you the depth of attention and expertise that the conventional system rarely allows. Come and let's work for you and with you.
